The key is kept only in this page's memory. It isn't saved to localStorage,
isn't sent anywhere except in calls to api.anthropic.com, and disappears once you close the tab.
Attendance, quorum, the agenda and printing the minutes all work without the API.
What a Claude API call looks like in this app
In production, the key doesn't belong in the browser. The notes contain the names of both councillors and residents — the call should go through the municipality's server, where you can turn on logging and control over what gets sent.
