Settings — custom API key
The key is kept only in this page's memory. It isn't saved to localStorage,
isn't sent anywhere except in calls to api.anthropic.com, and disappears once you close the tab.
Without a key, uploaded PDFs aren't processed via the API — a ready-made sample document is added instead,
so you can see what the output looks like.

In production, the key doesn't belong in the browser. Invoices also contain commercial data — the call should go through your server, where you can turn on logging, limits and control over what gets sent.
