Settings — custom API key
The key is kept only in this page's memory. It isn't saved to localStorage,
isn't sent anywhere except in the call to api.anthropic.com, and disappears once you close the tab.
Without a key, the app runs in demo mode with a prepared response.
What a Claude API call looks like in this app
In production, the key doesn't belong in the browser.
The call should go through your server or a function that keeps the key server-side —
otherwise anyone who opens the page can read it. The
anthropic-dangerous-direct-browser-access header is meant precisely for demos and prototypes.
